White Sage  is grown and sustainably harvested in California by Native Americans.   Native American cultures use smudge sticks in spiritual ceremonies and to remove negative energies and spirits.It's recommended to break off a small amount of the smudge stick and place into a fireproof dish, replenishing as required.  Beware of other varieties of sage, especially culinary sage,  which do not have the same space clearing abilities.

Palo Santo is also known as Holy Wood and grows in Central and South America.  It has been used for many, many years by the local people to energetically cleanse away negative energies and has similar healing properties as sage and Cedarwood. Over recent years It has become popular  in North America and Australia for its  sacred presence in keeping energies clear and grounded. It is also useful as an insect repellant, keeping mosquitos and other flying insects at bay.

How to Use: Use a candle, match or lighter to ignite your stick of Palo Santo.  Hold at about a 45 degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame.  Allow it to burn for about 30 secs to 1 minute and then blow out.  Move about your workspace, home, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to clear the energy.  The rich smell will also bring peace and clarity to the moment along with good feelings.  When finished, place the stick in a fire proof bowl of metal, glass or clay.  It will cease to glow  on its own unless you blow on the ember which will keep the smoke going.  Always remember to  use caution  when working with fire.
