Australian Sandalwood is widespread throughout Western Australia. It is found throughout most of Western Australia from the Pilbara to the south coast of Western Australia, into South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula and Flinders Ranges. 

Sandalwood Essential oil has  distinctive, exotic aroma with its deeply earthy, woody tones laced with balsamic notes and has a softer and more pleasant aroma than the traditional Indian sandalwood ( Santalum album).  Our  Sandalwood Essential Oil is high grade and premium quality, produced from steam distilling Australian sandalwood (Santalum spicatum), and contains well above the average percentage of alpha santalol.

Sedative rather than uplifting, it can dispel anxiety and lift depression, aiding sleep and helping to reignite a passion for life.  It is also considered an aphrodisiac, especially for men. 

Sandalwood oil is of course indispensable in the perfume industry, but medicinally Sandalwood Essential Oil is well known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory  properties, especially for the mucous membranes.  It’s very good  for sore throats, chest infections and can help calm chronic coughs. It can also help to relieve inflammation and itching, and has proven helpful for infected wounds, acne and boils.

Uses:

Add to a diffuser or oil burner to promote a calm atmosphere. 

It can also be further diluted in a base oil such as almond oil and used as a reviving and calming aftershave balm. warm the blended oil between the palms of the hands and then gently pat onto the skin. 

Safety Precautions:

Not to be Taken. Possible skin sensitivity - dilute prior to topical application - non-toxic and non-irritant in dilutions less than 2%. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
