Pure Clove Bud essential oil has a strong, spicy, woody  aroma which will probably be very familiar to you. It's relaxing and comforting which can help to reduce anxiety and enhance focus on the task at hand.  It is also very well known  for  its potent  anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties  due to its dominant ingredient, eugenol.  It is widely used in both conventional and complementary dental health care  and also dental products as it helps fight the germs which cause bad breath and relieves swollen gums and toothache.

Clove Bud Essential Oil comes from the buds of the clove tree, a native of South East Asian countries such as Indonesia. Mixed with other oils, for example olive and coconut, it’s great as a massage oil.

When used in a steam inhaler, it’s known to help ease respiratory infections. Its expectorant properties make it useful for respiratory infections such as coughs, colds, sinusitis and asthma.   In medicinal topical applications  pure Clove Bud Essential Oil can be added to acne treatments as it helps to reduce red, painful inflammation and to kill the bacteria that causes acne. It has also been known to assist in the treatment of wounds, cuts and fungal infections such as athlete’s foot.

Uses:

Diffuse and Steam inhalation - 2 - 3 drops to clear or disinfect air.

Massage - add  3 drops to a tablespoon of carrier oil for warm rub - good for tired, sore  muscles and joints.

Topical application - dilute well, 0.5% or less. Avoid on hypersensitive or damaged skin and on children under 7 years.

Safety: Not to be Taken. Skin irritant, use in moderation and dilute well prior to topical application. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.
